Your phone is one of the most important tools you'll carry around **Equinox Roleplay**. Each phone is its **own physical device** with its own messages, photos, notes, apps, settings, and other stored data. Equinox uses the **YSeries phone system**. You can preview the system on the [YSeries website](https://www.teamsgg.dev/scripts/yseries) by selecting **Try Now**. *** ## Setting Up Your Phone After purchasing a phone, locate it in your inventory and use it for the first time. Phone available in inventory Opening a newly purchased phone Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your new device. Initial phone setup screen Every phone is **unique**. Your device may contain: * Text messages * Photos * Notes * Maps * Applications * Other stored information Anyone who gains access to your physical phone may also gain access to the data stored on it. Phone backup and security options We strongly recommend using a **passcode** and maintaining a **backup** of your phone. Once setup is complete, your phone is ready to use. *** ## Phones Are Physical Items Phones in Equinox are treated as individual devices. Your messages, photos, notes, apps, and other information are tied to the phone system rather than simply existing as invisible character data. This makes things like the following important: * Losing your phone * Having your phone stolen * Giving your phone to someone * Changing devices * Using a passcode * Maintaining backups * Keeping track of your SIM card **Your physical phone matters.** Treat it like any other valuable item your character owns. *** ## Camera Your phone includes a full camera system for photos, evidence, advertisements, events, social media, and more. Explore the available applications and see what your character uses. Applications and games available on the phone *** ## Broken Phones Your phone isn't indestructible. Serious falls, vehicle collisions, and other accidents may damage or completely break the device. If your phone becomes damaged, visit the **iFruit Store** and speak with the repair technician. Phone repair service at the iFruit Store If your phone is damaged, **don't throw it away**. It may still be repairable. *** ## Phone Cases Phone cases provide additional protection for your device. Cases are a **one-time purchase** and apply to your **Primary Phone**, meaning the phone you most recently used. * A case applies to your **Primary / last-used phone** * The case stays attached to that specific device * You do not need to repurchase the case for the same phone * Cases do **not transfer** between devices If you lose your phone or begin using another device, the case remains attached to the original phone. *** ## SIM Cards Your **SIM Card** represents your phone number separately from the physical device. **Your phone is the device. Your SIM is your number.** If you replace your phone, you can move your SIM card into another compatible device and keep your existing number. The physical device containing your phone experience and stored information. Allows you to keep your existing phone number when moving to another device. If keeping the same number matters to your character, keep track of your SIM card. *** ## Phone Batteries & Charging Phones require battery power to remain operational. Keep an eye on your battery level so you don't lose access when you need your phone most. Visit the **iFruit Store** or another supported vendor for battery supplies. Use a USB cable to charge your phone while traveling inside a vehicle. Keeping a USB cable in your vehicle is an easy way to stay charged while traveling. *** ## Signal & Reception Phone service depends on nearby **signal towers**. Coverage is generally strong throughout populated areas, but reception may become weaker in: * Rural areas * Mountains * Remote wilderness * Underground locations * Areas far from signal coverage Weak or nonexistent signal may prevent access to: * Calls * Text messages * Connected applications * Other online phone services Service will return once you move back into an area with coverage. *** ## Companies You don't always need a company's phone number to contact them. Open the **Companies** section of your phone and select the business you want to reach. From there, you can: * Call the business * Message the business * Reach available employees This can be used for things like: * Food orders * Vehicle services * Towing * Appointments * Business questions * General services Calls placed through the Companies app are sent through the company's available phone system rather than requiring an employee's personal number. *** ## Direct Company Numbers Some services can also be reached by dialing a short number directly. | Company / Service | Phone Number | | ------------------------- | :----------: | | **Police Departments** | `911` | | **Ambulance** | `311` | | **LS Customs — Towing** | `111` | | **Craw Customs — Towing** | `211` | | **The Fern** | `700` | | **Pond Cafe** | `701` | Save the numbers your character uses regularly. *** ## Stock Market Your phone provides access to the **Stock Market** application. Stock Market application Explore the app to see what investment opportunities are currently available. *** ## Banking Your phone also includes access to **mobile banking**. Mobile banking application Use it to manage everyday financial activity without needing to visit a physical bank. *** ## RALLY ### The City Is Live **Real people. Real places. Right now.** Wondering which businesses are open? Looking for a car meet? Trying to find something happening around the city? **Open RALLY.** **RALLY** is Equinox's live city activity app. It focuses on **temporary, location-based activity happening around the city right now** rather than acting as another traditional social media feed. ### What Can You Find? Find active meets and get there while people are still around. See which businesses are currently open and accepting customers. Discover parties, gatherings, competitions, and community events. Find businesses currently looking for new employees. Find or advertise services currently available around the city. Receive important information from authorized departments. *** ### Route Directly to Activity See something interesting? You can **route directly to the RALLY location** from your phone. No guessing which parking lot someone meant. No showing up twenty minutes after everyone left. If you're looking for spontaneous roleplay, RALLY should be one of the first places you check. *** ### Create Your Own Rally RALLY isn't only for finding activity. If you're hosting something, create a Rally and put it on the map. You can post things like: * Car meets * Parties * Business openings * Hiring events * Competitions * Community gatherings * Public services * Spontaneous activities **Rallies are temporary.** RALLY is built around what is happening **right now**, keeping the app focused on active city activity. *** ## Don't Wait for Roleplay to Find You.
