# Drugs

> Learn how drug progression works in Equinox, including laptops, VPN access, cannabis growing, laboratories, and moonshine.

The drug world in **Equinox Roleplay** is built around progression, discovery, and connections.

You are not expected to walk into the city knowing every location, recipe, supplier, or process.

Start small, learn through roleplay, and build your operation over time.

<Warning>
  ### In-Game Information Only

  Everything on this page refers exclusively to **fictional gameplay mechanics within Equinox Roleplay**.

  It is not intended as real-world drug manufacturing or distribution guidance.

# Getting Started

Most criminal drug progression begins with access to the right equipment.

Your first major tool is a:

**Laptop**

From there, you'll eventually need access to a:

**VPN**

The VPN allows your character to begin accessing additional opportunities within the criminal world.

  ### Don't Expect Everything to Be Handed to You

  Part of criminal progression is **finding people, locations, equipment, and information through roleplay**.

  Talk to people. Build connections. Ask questions in character.

## The Laptop

Once you have access to a laptop and the required connection, you'll begin seeing opportunities to purchase equipment and expand your operation.

As you progress, additional options may become available.

Eventually, established criminals may gain access to more advanced operations such as **drug laboratories**.

<Tip>
  Don't treat the laptop like a shopping menu you need to complete immediately.

  Let your character's criminal progression develop naturally.

# Drug Progression

The drug system is designed to give your character something to work toward.

Progression may include:

* Finding suppliers
* Obtaining equipment
* Learning new processes
* Building criminal connections
* Increasing your experience
* Unlocking new opportunities
* Expanding production
* Purchasing laboratories

<Info>
  ### Bigger Operations Should Feel Earned

  Laboratories represent a significant step forward in your character's criminal progression.

  Build toward them rather than treating them as something your character should immediately own.
</Info>

# Cannabis

Cannabis operates differently from many other drug systems.

Under current **in-character San Andreas law**, limited personal cultivation may be permitted under certain circumstances.

<Warning>
  ### Personal Cultivation

  A permitted individual may grow up to **3 cannabis plants at one time**.

  This allowance is intended for **personal use**.
</Warning>

There are still restrictions.

Having permission to grow cannabis does **not** automatically allow your character to package or distribute it.

<Note>
  Possessing legally grown cannabis does not necessarily make every related activity legal.

  Refer to the current **San Andreas laws** for the exact in-character legal standard.

## Getting Started With Cannabis

You'll need to discover the appropriate seller or contact before you can begin.

Finding them is part of the roleplay.

<Tip>
  Cannabis cultivation is more than simply planting something and walking away.

  Pay attention to the systems surrounding your plants and learn what produces the best results through gameplay.

# Moonshine

Looking to get into moonshining?

You'll want to start thinking differently about some of the everyday items you find around the city.

<Info>
  ### A Little Hint

  Those **moldy breads** and **water bottles** you've been ignoring?

  You may want to start saving them.
</Info>

They can become useful when your character begins exploring the moonshine system.

From there, the rest is up to you.

Learn the process.

Experiment with your batches.

Improve your product.

Build a reputation.

And figure out who actually wants what you're making.

***

## Build a Moonshine Business

Moonshine is different from a simple NPC-selling loop.

**NPCs will not automatically buy your product.**

That means your character needs to create the demand.

You may need to:

* Build relationships
* Find customers
* Create a recognizable product
* Market your moonshine through roleplay
* Establish repeat buyers
* Supply parties or events
* Work with businesses or organizations
* Develop a reputation for quality

<Tip>
  ### Think Like a Roleplayer, Not a Grinder

  If nobody knows your character makes moonshine, nobody has a reason to buy it.

  Create the story around the product.
</Tip>

***

# Quality Matters

Not every batch needs to become your character's masterpiece.

Experimentation and progression are part of the system.

Your character may need time to learn how to consistently create the product they want.

<Info>
  ### Build Your Brand

  A successful moonshine operation doesn't have to be the biggest.

  It needs people who actually want the product.

  Give it a name. Build a reputation. Find regular customers. Make people recognize your character's product.
</Info>

***

# Build an Empire, Don't Rush One

Drug roleplay becomes much more interesting when there's a story behind the operation.

* Maybe your character starts alone.
* Maybe they find a partner.
* Maybe they supply a gang.

And so on. Those situations are where the drug system becomes more than another way to make money.
