# Other Goodies
> A collection of useful Equinox systems and features, including license reinstatement, job limits, the Pause Menu, and Car Play.
Not every useful feature needs its own massive guide.
This page covers a handful of systems that are worth knowing about as you get settled into **Equinox Roleplay**.

# Licensing
Lost your driver's license?
Getting it back isn't automatic.
If your license has been revoked or otherwise removed, you'll need to complete the reinstatement process.
### Reinstatement Fee
The mandatory license reinstatement fee is:
## **\$500**
To begin the process, speak with **any Police Officer**.
They can help point you toward the appropriate reinstatement process.

## Poor Driving Records
Not every license issue can necessarily be resolved with a simple reinstatement fee.
If your character has developed a particularly poor driving record, they may be required to take the matter further.
### DOT Petition May Be Required
Characters with a sufficiently poor driving history may be required to file a petition with the **Department of Transportation**.
This process is handled through the **Federal Government**.
The more trouble your character creates behind the wheel, the harder it may become to simply pay a fee and move on.

# Job Limits
You are no longer restricted to choosing only one or two general civilian jobs.
Most civilian jobs are open to anyone.
### General Civilian Jobs
You can freely work available civilian jobs without being locked into a single career.
Some jobs may require specific equipment before you can begin.
For certain work, you'll need:
* A **Hard Hat** from the supermarket
* An appropriate **work outfit**
Keep a basic work outfit ready if your character regularly moves between civilian jobs.
It saves you from having to rebuild the same look every time you clock in somewhere else.

## Whitelist Job Limit
Whitelist jobs work differently from open civilian jobs.
You may hold up to:
## **3 Whitelist Jobs**
### Whitelist Jobs Are Limited
While general civilian work is broadly accessible, characters are limited to **3 whitelist jobs**.
This helps prevent one character from occupying every major whitelisted role at the same time.

# Pause Menu
The **Pause Menu** is more useful than just somewhere to adjust settings.
It acts as a central hub for several important server features.
Depending on your permissions and role, you may find options related to:
* Server information
* Announcements
* Job postings
* Marketplace advertisements
* Rules
* Additional server tools

# Announcements & Job Posts
Authorized staff members can use the Pause Menu to publish announcements.
Users with the appropriate authority may also be able to post job-related information.
### Check the Pause Menu Regularly
Important information may be posted there instead of being announced repeatedly elsewhere.

# Marketplace Ads
The Pause Menu also connects into systems that allow you to advertise things through the marketplace.
This can be useful when advertising:
* Vehicles
* Property
* Services
* Legal goods
* Other marketplace listings
If your character has something to sell, don't assume the only option is standing around waiting for somebody to ask.
Use the tools available to advertise it.

# Rules & Server Information
The Pause Menu also provides quick access to important server information.
Stay informed about important server-wide information.
Authorized users may post job-related information and opportunities.
Post and review advertisements for legal items, services, vehicles, property, and more.
Quickly access important server rules and information when you need them.

# Car Play
Vehicles have access to an additional feature called **Car Play**.
Car Play gives you access to several vehicle-related tools from one interface.
### Opening Car Play
Open:
**F1 → Vehicle Menu**
From there, access the available **Car Play** features.

# Car Play Features
Car Play includes several useful functions for drivers.
Depending on what you're doing, you can use it to:
* Listen to music
* Access basic vehicle commands
* Use supported vehicle functions
* Configure autopilot
Listen to music while traveling around San Andreas.
Access useful vehicle-related commands from one interface.
Use the available autopilot functionality when appropriate.
Keep common vehicle tools together inside the Car Play interface.
### Autopilot Doesn't Mean Ignore the Road
Vehicle systems can make driving more convenient, but your character is still responsible for what happens while operating the vehicle.

# Useful Things to Remember
Some of these systems are easy to overlook, but they can make life in the city much easier.
A bad driving record can eventually become more complicated than paying a reinstatement fee.
General civilian work isn't limited to one career, so explore what the city offers.
Check announcements, marketplace information, rules, and other available resources.
Use the vehicle interface for music, commands, autopilot, and other supported tools.
