# Bank Truck
> Learn how Bank Truck Delivery and Convoy jobs work, including requirements, equipment, GPS tracking, guards, thermite, and Tier 2–3 criminal progression.
Bank Truck jobs introduce two different criminal opportunities:
* **Delivery** — a Tier 2 job focused on locating and accessing a bank truck
* **Convoy** — a more dangerous Tier 3-scale heist involving armed security, tracking, thermite, and a secured safe
Both jobs begin through the same criminal system, but the **Convoy** represents a significant increase in risk and difficulty.

Everything on this page refers exclusively to fictional gameplay mechanics within **Equinox Roleplay**.

# Available Jobs

### Two Different Experiences
The **Delivery** is the simpler option and sits within Tier 2 progression.
The **Convoy** is a much more involved operation with stronger resistance, additional equipment requirements, and a higher reward scale.

# Getting Started
Both Bank Truck opportunities begin with an:
## Advanced Laptop
The **Advanced Laptop is consumed after the initial entry into the system**.
Using the laptop begins a hacking minigame that allows you to access the Bank Truck system.

## Randomized Hacking
Don't expect to memorize one minigame and repeat it forever.
The hacking system uses a **randomized minigame**, meaning the challenge may be different each time you attempt to access the system.
### Stay Ready
The purpose of the randomized hacking system is to keep the activity from becoming a memorized mechanical loop.
Pay attention to the challenge you're given each time.

# Delivery Requirements
The Delivery job is the simpler of the two Bank Truck opportunities.
You'll need:
Lockpicks are required for the Delivery side of the Bank Truck system.

**Primary Equipment:** Advanced Laptop + Lockpicks
**GPS Delay:** Approximately 2–5 minutes
The Delivery job is intentionally more straightforward than the Convoy, so this guide focuses primarily on the larger heist.

# Convoy Requirements
The Convoy is where things become significantly more dangerous.
You'll need to prepare for:
* Armed guards
* Multiple stages
* GPS tracking
* Thermite entry
* A secured truck
* A combination-protected safe
Thermite is required to breach the rear of the armored truck.
The **GPS Device is obtained during the mission itself**.
You do not need to bring one with you.
The convoy is protected by armed security.
Guards may carry:
* **Class 3 Carbine Rifles**
* **Machine Pistols**
This is an armed encounter.
The guards are capable of seriously injuring or killing your character, so prepare accordingly.

# Convoy Walkthrough
The Convoy job happens in multiple stages.
Use the laptop to identify the initial mission location.
Deal with the initial guard and recover the GPS Device.
Use the GPS Device to locate the armored convoy.
Deal with the armed driver and security escort.
Place Thermite on the rear of the armored truck.
Search the additional guards for the safe combination.
Access the rear compartment and secured safe.
Take what you can and deal with the police response.

# Step 1 — Head to the Initial Location
After successfully accessing the job, make your way toward the location provided by the system.
### Keep the Laptop Available
You'll need the laptop to properly identify the target.
Without it, you may reach the general area without recognizing exactly what you're looking for.

# Step 2 — Recover the GPS Device
At the initial location, you'll encounter a guard connected to the convoy.
The guard may attempt to flee.
Once the encounter is resolved, **search the guard**.
You're looking for the:
## GPS Device
The GPS Device is an important mission item.
Without it, you won't be able to properly locate the armored truck.

# Step 3 — Use the GPS
Once you've recovered the GPS Device, use it.
The device will begin tracking the target and provide the location of the armored truck.
Use the time before reaching the truck to make sure your crew is actually prepared.
Once you engage the convoy, expect resistance.

# Step 4 — Intercept the Convoy
The armored truck is not traveling alone and unprotected.
Expect an armed:
* Driver
* Passenger / security guard
Both may engage your crew when the convoy is attacked.
### Armed Security
Convoy guards may carry high-powered weapons.
Treat the security detail as a serious threat rather than ordinary NPC resistance.

# Step 5 — Breach the Rear Door
Once the immediate security threat has been handled, move toward the **rear of the armored truck**.
Place your Thermite at the designated interaction point.
The breach is **not immediate**.
You'll need to wait for the Thermite sequence to finish.
And you're not done fighting yet.

# Step 6 — Reinforcements
After the Thermite is placed and the breach progresses, **two additional heavy armored guards** will exit.
These guards are heavily armed and will aggressively defend the truck.
### Second Security Wave
Expect **2 additional armored and armed guards** after beginning the breach.
Do not assume the area is secure just because the original driver and passenger have been dealt with.
Once the additional guards are down, search their bodies.
One of them may have something extremely important:
## The Safe Combination

# Step 7 — Recover the Combination
Search the security guards until you locate the combination for the secured safe.
### Don't Skip the Bodies
The safe combination is obtained from the guards associated with the convoy.
If you immediately rush toward the truck without searching them, you're going to be missing something important.
Once you have the combination, return to the rear of the armored truck.

# Step 8 — Loot the Truck
With the rear compartment breached and the safe combination recovered, you can begin collecting the rewards.
There are two main objectives:
### Truck Compartment
Loot the accessible contents from the rear of the armored truck.
### Secured Safe
Use the recovered combination to access the additional secured loot.
Don't spend so much time celebrating that you forget what kind of scene you're standing in.
A bank truck heist tends to attract attention.

# Police Response
The Convoy is a major armed criminal event and requires at least **3 police officers** to be available.
Law enforcement may respond while you're still completing the job or shortly afterward.
### Give the Scene Room to Develop
Police involvement doesn't automatically mean the scene needs to become a shootout.
A pursuit, standoff, negotiation, escape attempt, or investigation can all develop depending on how the situation unfolds.
Under normal circumstances, officers should have an opportunity to engage with the scene before gunfire becomes the default response.
However, threatening behavior changes that situation.
### Escalation Has Consequences
Aiming a firearm at an officer, advancing on officers with a weapon, firing at police, or otherwise presenting an immediate deadly threat can result in officers responding with deadly force.
Do not assume law enforcement must give you an unlimited opportunity to escape regardless of your actions.
If you're trying to get away:
**Get away.**
If you choose to turn the scene into a gunfight:
**Expect the scene to respond accordingly.**

# This Is a Major Step Up
The Convoy represents a noticeable jump from entry-level crime.
You're dealing with:
* Multiple objectives
* Randomized hacking
* Mission-specific equipment
* Armed guards
* Reinforcements
* A secured safe
* Increased police requirements
* Tier 3-scale rewards
Higher-tier crime should feel more dangerous.
The larger payout comes with more opportunities for the job to go wrong.

### The payout is only one part of the heist.
The escape, police response, mistakes, injuries, arrests, investigations, and consequences can create just as much roleplay as successfully opening the safe.
