General Roleplay Rules
- ERP (Erotic Roleplay) - Sexual roleplay. On this server, it is not permitted without clear, explicit consent from all parties involved.
- Fail RP (Fail Roleplay) - Acting unrealistically or outside immersion in a way that breaks the roleplay experience.
- Fear RP (Fear Roleplay) - Your character must realistically fear for their life. For example, you should not rush someone pointing a gun at you or ignore serious injuries.
- NVL (No Value of Life) - Treating your character’s life as expendable, such as recklessly endangering yourself because you know you can just respawn.
- Powergaming - Forcing actions, using exploits, or roleplaying in a way that removes fair choice from others. Example: “/me ties you up instantly” without giving the other player a chance to respond.
- Metagaming - Using OOC (Out of Character) information to influence your IC (In Character) decisions. Example: acting on something you only heard in Discord but not in-game.
- RDM (Random Deathmatch) - Attacking or killing another player without valid RP reason, buildup, or interaction.
- VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch) - Using a vehicle as a weapon to run people over without proper roleplay context.
- Baiting - Purposely provoking police or players into interactions without natural roleplay context.
- Combat Logging - Logging out, force-closing the game, or otherwise avoiding RP consequences during a scene.
Life & Death Rules
- NLR (New Life Rule) - When your character dies and you respawn, you must forget the RP that led to your death/incapacitation (typically 15 minutes prior). You cannot return to the same scene immediately.
- CK (Character Kill) - Permanent death of your character. Once CK’d, that character cannot return.
- PK (Player Kill) - Temporary death/incapacitation. You may lose memory of the event but your character continues afterward.
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) - A roleplay option for pausing your character due to medical reasons. Often used for storylines or breaks.
IC vs. OOC
- IC (In Character) - Actions, knowledge, and communications that your character would realistically know or do in-game.
- OOC (Out of Character) - Anything outside your character. Used for clarifications, questions, or rules, but should be kept minimal in RP scenarios.
- Emails (Discord IC Use) - Our server treats designated Discord channels as IC “emails.” Anything posted here must remain IC. (OOC photos, memes, etc., belong in OOC channels only.)
Jobs & Factions
- EMS (Emergency Medical Services) - Medical roleplay staff who treat injuries and handle medical scenarios (“medRP”).
- LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) - Police, troopers, deputies, correctional deputies, and similar roles responsible for law enforcement RP.
- VCB (Visual Contact Broken) - Used in chases to indicate that law enforcement has lost sight of the suspect.
Common Slang / Situational Terms
- FRP (Fear Roleplay) - Sometimes used interchangeably with “Fear RP.”
- Cop Baiting - Purposely trying to get police attention with no RP purpose.
- OOC Chat - The chat channel for communication outside roleplay. Often marked with double parentheses
((like this)). - Scenario RP - A planned or organic roleplay situation involving multiple characters.
- Scene - The current RP event taking place (e.g., a robbery, a traffic stop, a medical call).
